随着新能源汽车越来越多，因此对于电动汽车充电需求来说当然是越快越好，但是随着充电速度加快，电流和电压也会直线增高，这就导致了充电桩电感模块功率增大。电感模块、电源模块等元件热量快速且大量地产生，需要对其采取冷却装置进行散热。
相比于其他电源，充电桩的系统散热量要大的多，对系统热设计要求为严格直流充电桩的功率范围在30KW、60KW和120KW，效率普遍在95％左右，那么其中5％就转化为热损耗，其热损耗将是1.5KW、3KW和6KW。对于户外设备，这些热量必然要排出设备之外，否则将会加速设备的老化，同时需要做好防水防尘的处理，以防出现电子设备短路和信号紊乱的情况。
新能源车充电桩在给新能源车充电时，由于充电桩会发热，所以需要对充电桩进行冷却，这样充电桩才可以连续工作。对充电桩中的电子器件进行水冷时，其水冷结构的布置的合理性直接影响电子器件的冷却效果，从而影响充电桩的使用寿命。具体针对不同的电子器件采用不同的冷却方式，使得冷却效果好，增加了充电桩的使用寿命。
冷水机介绍：
风冷冷水机组都可以用在小系统上，大机组绝大部分都是水冷的。水冷初投资就主机而言,是比风冷的少一点.但加上冷却塔和机房电子水处理仪等,也少不到什么地方去!再说就长年运行来说,水冷机组的制冷效率相对会下降，风冷不会。
风冷冷水机组采用空气冷却方式，省去了冷却水系统所必不可少的冷却塔、冷却水泵和管道系统，避免水质过差地区造成冷凝器结垢、水管堵塞，还节约了水资源，是冷水空调设备产品中，保养维修实惠、简单的机种。
风冷冷水机组比水冷冷水机组一次性投资要稍高，但是全年运转费用要低于水冷式冷水机组，机房建筑费用在各种空调冷热源系统中为少，维修保养费用约为水冷式或锅炉的一半费用。
风冷冷水机组的噪音和体积较水冷的大，只能安装在室外。水冷机组大多安装在地下室内。
