Direct Tension Tester for Asphalt Binders

Overview

The Direct Tension Tester (hereinafter referred to as the "Tester") is a specialized instrument designed to measure the failure strain and failure stress (i.e., fracture properties) of asphalt binders using the Direct Tension (DT) method. It is applicable for testing original asphalt binders, as well as aged binders from the Rolling Thin Film Oven Test (RTFOT) and the Pressure Aging Vessel (PAV).

This instrument complies with the following standards:

· T 0629-2011 (included in JTG 3410-2025) Test for Fracture Properties of Asphalt Binders

· ASTM D6723-12: Standard Test Method for Determining the Fracture Properties of Asphalt Binder in Direct Tension (DT)

· AASHTO T 314-12 (2016): Determining the Fracture Properties of Asphalt Binder in Direct Tension (DT)

Product Features

Integrated Design: Monolithic body structure with a double-ｌayer foamed stainless steel inner tank for superior insulation.
