在可伸缩的密闭容器中充以压缩空气,利用空气弹性作用的弹簧。俗称气囊、气囊式气缸、皮囊气缸等。
空气弹簧是在一个密封的容器中充入压缩空气,利用气体可压缩性实现其弹性作用。空气弹簧具有较理想的非线性弹性特性,加装高度调节装置后,车身高度不随载荷增减而变化,弹簧刚度可设计得较低,乘坐舒适性好。但空气弹簧悬架结构复杂、制造成本高。
工作原理是在密闭的压力缸内充入惰性气体或者油气混合物,使腔体内的压力高于大气压的几倍或者几十倍,利用活塞杆的横截面积小于活塞的横截面积从而产生的压力差来实现活塞杆的运动。由于原理上的根本不同,气弹簧比普通弹簧有着很显著的优点:速度相对缓慢、动态力变化不大(一般在1:1.2以内)、容易控制;缺点是相对体积没有螺旋弹簧小,成本高、寿命相对短。
Firestone空气弹簧按气囊的结构型式可分成囊式、膜式和复合式三种。
Firestone囊式空气弹簧
Firestone凡士通囊式空气弹簧由夹有帘线的橡胶气囊和密闭在其中的压缩空气组成。气囊的内层用气密性的橡胶制成,而外层则用耐油橡胶制成。气囊一般做成如图1所示的两节,但也有单节或三、四节的。节数越多,弹性越好,但密封性差,节和节之间围有钢制的腰环,使中间部分不致有径向扩张,并防止两节之间相互摩擦。气囊的上下盖板将气囊密闭。
Firestone膜式空气弹簧
Firestone膜式空气弹簧的密闭气囊由橡胶膜片和金属压制件组成。与囊式的相比,其弹性特性曲线比较理想,因其刚度较囊式较小,车身自然振动频率较低;且尺寸较小,在车上便于布置,故多用于轿车上。
Firestone复合式空气弹簧
从结构上看,复合式空气弹簧,是介于囊式和膜式之间的一种型式,它综合了上述两种空气弹簧的优点,具有较低的弹簧刚度,但制造工艺复杂。
Firestone空气弹簧的质量比任何弹簧的质量都小,且寿命较长,但高度尺寸较大,适用于在大型车辆上布置,故近些年来在大型客车上,尤其是高档豪华大客车上已得到广泛应用。
