Heavy-wall, borosilicate glass tubes are designed for polymerization ａnd analysis of halogens by thermal decomposition in the presence of lime. They feature the unique Ace-Thred closure system for assurance of a secure seal. Tubes maintain a recommended operating pressure of 150psi. Hydrogenation bottles also feature the Ace-Thred closure system ａnd are flat bottom vessels. These bottles maintain a lower recommended operating pressure, not to exceed 60psi. Tubes ａnd bottles are supplied without plugs ａnd O-rings. Tube length is measured below the thread. Tube pressure ratings are determined at 120°C (248°F). Bottle pressure ratings are determined at ambient temperature. All tubes are pressure tested at 1.5 times the rating.
Ordering Information: All pressure tubes ａnd hydrogenation bottles are supplied without closures. These tube-only ａnd bottle-only orders can be used as replacement items for Pressure Tubes with back seal plugs (see 89063-160 series), Pressure Tubes with front seal plugs (see 89063-172 series), or Pressure Tubes with plunger valve (see 89063-386 series).
