AR-025 Smoke detector

AR-025 Smoke detector for zone 2The explosion-safe Artidor AR-025 optical smoke detector reacts to visible smoke particles. Inside the smoke detector's measuring chamber, a builtin infrared light source emits a light pulse every 8 seconds. The amount of light detected by the photodiode changes due to the smoke particles entering the measuring chamber during a fire. The built-in relay is energized and the potential-free output is switched. The AR-025 smoke detector can be connected to virtually any professional alarm system.

The smoke detector is preferably mounted against the ceiling in the center of the room. Prevent obstacles from disrupting the airflow to the smoke detector, which could result in smoke development being detected too late. It is recommended to install a smoke detector on every floor, in the stairwell, and in all living and sleeping quarters.

The smoke detector can be supplied with a normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) output. This ensures that a suitable version is always available for your alarm system. Consult your alarm system documentation to ensure you order the correct version; the output type cannot be changed afterwards. The AR-025 smoke detector can, of course, also be connected directly to a PLC, signal light or buzzer.

The AR-025 smoke detector is mounted on a coated aluminum housing. Gas explosion safety is ensured by applying the ignition protection methods “Increased safety” and “Molding”. Dust explosion safety is achieved by applying the ignition protection methods “Molding” and “Protection by enclosure”.

The explosion-proof AR-025 smoke detector is certified in accordance with European Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX 114), European standard EN 54⁻⁷ “Fire detection and alarm systems – Part 7: smoke detectors” and is CE marked.
