(小号和大号)内通过已知气流得以稀释。通过稀释气流和02/CO2度的测量可计算出VO2和VCO2。
每次测试使用一次性头罩布和橡胶过滤吹管。
面罩模式
当自主呼吸患者(特殊个体幽闭恐惧症)无法使用半身头罩时，REE测量还可通过口鼻面罩进行。
个体通过舒适的头帽佩戴面罩(具备5种尺寸)。涡轮流量传感器与面罩连接,用以测量通气参数,采样线用以测量呼出与吸入的O2/CO2浓度。
面罩模式下,可以通过屏幕了解代谢和通气的实时数据,以实现对数据的监控，并了解测试何时结束
