玻璃的淬冷是钢化工艺过程中的一个重要环节，钢化对玻璃淬冷的要求是快速而均匀的冷却。因此，玻璃在其内部冷却之，表面已冷却收缩，当内部冷却时，表面已收缩，这就产生了一种张应力，使玻璃的表面处于压应力状态，这就得到了钢化玻璃。
目水平钢化玻璃淬冷工艺采用的喷气冷却形式有狭缝式、喷嘴式和管道式等，无论淬冷采用何种的方式，都要满足钢化的工艺要求：能有效的疏散热风，便于排除碎玻璃，并尽量降低吹风噪音等。
钢化炉的冷却系统较好的解决了钢化的工艺问题，保证了钢化玻璃的质量。整个冷却系统采用封闭式结构，系统外装有观察窗，可随时观察玻璃在钢化过程中的运转与破碎情况。风栅由上下两部分组成，上下风栅的进气总管与空气分配中心相连，空气分配中心外装有冷风送风机，对玻璃吹风冷却，空气分配中心与风栅进气总管连接处有风阀，可通过控制其开度来控制空气平衡。在水平钢化系统中，为使玻璃获得要求的钢化度，必须使玻璃的加热炉出口处和风栅的进口处玻璃的温度保持在变形点以上，因此风栅尽可能接近加热炉出口段以减少热耗。

1、风冷式冷风机风机选用优质风机，并且经过科学选型，因此风机效率高，噪音低，性能稳定；
2、风冷式冷风机冷凝换热器采用铜管套铝翅片，铜管为等边叉排布置，铝翅片为双曲波纹形，管孔经二次翻边，通过机械涨管，是铜管和翅片紧密接触，因此具有传热好，空气阻力小，易于清洁的优点。配合优质的冷凝风扇，风量大、噪音小。而且风冷式冷凝器使用起来方便，不需要另外配置冷却水塔；
3、风冷式冷风机结构采用组合式钣金结构，方便维修以及内部清理，根据冷凝风扇的出风方向，科学地在钣金上冲散热孔，具有散热和美观机器的作用；
4、风冷式冷风机经过科学设计，充分考虑技术参数的优化组合，各项指标先进合理。同时可根据用户的要求进行改型设计，提供不同性能指标的产品。
