反应釜的广义理解即有物理或化学反应的容器，通过对容器的结构设计与参数配置，实现工艺要求的加热、蒸发、冷却及低高速的混配功能，反应釜广泛应用于石油、化工、橡胶、农药、染料、医药、食品，用来完成硫化、硝化、氢化、烃化、聚合、缩合等工艺过程的压力容器，例如反应器、反应锅、分解锅、聚合釜等；材质一般有碳锰钢、不锈钢、锆、镍基合金及其它复合材料。
目，化工生产中的反应釜为了防止温度过高而引起化工原料的剧烈反应从而增加危险并且影响产品的质量，采用冷却装置来降低反应釜的温度。如果只用自来水池普通常温水循环冷却速度慢，冷却效果差，特别是反应剧烈的化合物，降温效率更低，存在一定的安全隐患；而且用常温水进行冷却时水温也不低，一次循环带走热量少，温度降低速度慢。
提高效率增加一台工业冷水机通过压缩机制冷冰水，冷却速度快，安装方便，冷却效果好的反应釜冷却装置。工作时启动冷水机对冷冻箱内的水进行降温处理，使水温保持在5°-10°之间，当需要进行冷却时，通过冷冻水泵，将冷冻水输送到反应设备冷却，冷却后出水口流出后又进冷冻箱进行降温冷却处理，如此循环，能够迅速实现温度下降，节约水源，冷却效果好。
冷却机(冷水机）介绍
QX系列冷水机主要由压缩机、冷凝器、热力膨胀阀（或毛细管）和蒸发器四大部件组成，采用单蒸气压缩制冷系统，利用制冷剂的气液相互转换，吸收和释放热量的原理，达到制冷的效果。
QX系列开机后
（1）压缩机开始工作，制冷剂在压缩机的压缩作用下变成高压高温气体，往排气侧的方向循环；在循环过程，高压高温的制冷剂气体通过冷凝器。
（2），与空气发生热交换，由气态转变为液态，同时被空气带走热量；冷媒冷却过程，液态的高压冷剂通过热力膨胀阀（或毛细管）。
（3），压力下降，部分制冷剂由液态装变为气态，此时制冷剂为液态和气态两相混合的状态；冷媒节流过程中，制冷剂通过蒸发器。
（4），在蒸发器内与冷冻水发生热交换，冷却冷冻水到所需的温度，满足设定要求；经蒸发器后的气体制冷剂循环回到压缩机，完成一次制冷循环。
