电机固定在可上下摆动的支架上，通过三角皮带传动，将电机的旋转运动传递给切片机的主轴上。主轴采用对球轴承支承，端固装着圆形锯片，在锯片的上半端安装有安全罩。底盘上装有夹具支承滑架，，夹固芯样的夹具可在夹具支架上移动。在对准找正好切割芯样位置后，旋紧手轮固定。。水槽上装有进水阀，用胶管接入水源，切割时应不停注入冷却水。
