Background: Epidermal growth factor （EGF） has a profound effect on the differentiation of specific cells in vivo ａnd is a potent mitogenic factor for a variety of cultured cells. The EGF precursor is believed to exist as a membrane bound molecule which is proteolytically cleaved to generate the 53 amino acid peptide hormone that stimulates cells to divide. EGF exerts its actions by binding to the EGFR, a 170 kDa protein.

· Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.
Storage: Store at –20 ºC for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month ａnd for greater than a year when kept at -20ºC. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody, the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 ºC.
