It is not recommended by the FDA to use with the hydrophilic IOL implantation due to the chances of staining.

In some individuals， symptoms such as itching， rash， and swelling may occur. In severe cases， the allergic reaction may escalate to anaphylaxis.

Studies have shown that the dye， particularly at high concentrations， can damage endothelial cells.

It can induce inflammation and redness in the eye and， in some cases， may lead to uveitis.
