在萃取蒸馏过程中，降温冷却器是实验的关键，通过冷却器对气体进行降温使得气态的物质变为液态的物质，进而达到提纯、萃取的效果。传统的冷却器都是通过水体进行冷凝，例如说冷凝管等等，再通过水体进行冷凝的情况中，会采取以下两种方式：
1、循环利用水体对冷凝管进行降温；
2、一次性利用水体对冷凝管进行降温后直接排放；
通过第1种方式对冷凝管降温后，由于水体是循环使用，会使水体温度升高，使得整个冷凝管的冷凝速率下降，通过第二种方式虽然水体的冷凝速度不会下降，但是水体进行一次冷凝后就会被直接排放，浪费水资源。
利用新工艺冷水机装置提供一种适用于萃取装置的冷却系统，通过压缩机制冷冰水，能够将经过冷凝管吸热后的液体进行降温处理，使得循环对冷凝管进行冷却的液体能够持续保持较低的温度，再确保冷却效率较高的情况下，循环用水，节约水资源。
