性状(以下信息仅供参考)：粉末。一类可催化含酚基化合物(如酪氨酸、酚类化合物等)氧化成醌的酶。此类酶广泛存在于自然界，植物中分布很广，如马铃薯、茶叶、漆树乳汁中含量相当高。高等动物的皮肤、毛发、角膜中的黑色素也是由于此酶氧化酪氨酸所生成的产物。蘑菇等菌类及其他微生物中也产生此类酶。通常从野蘑菇中提取，系生物催化剂之一，含有铜离子的蛋白质。分子量约128 KDa 。等电点<5.0；含氮量约13.6％。含铜量约0.25％。紫外吸收峰在273nm和330nm处。催化作用适宜温度25℃。
用途：本品仅供科研，不得用于其它用途。(以下用途仅供参考)它催化酪氨酸氧化成多巴和多巴进一步氧化成能产生黑色素的前体物——多巴醌。
