TRS2 is used for non-contact tool breakage detection of solid centering cutting tools on various machine tools. The system uses the tool recognition electronic device, ａnd judges whether the tool exists by analyzing the light spectrum reflected from the rotating tool. The system can ignore the random light spectrum formed by the coolant ａnd chip, ａnd eliminate the possibility that the broken tool can not be detected because the coolant blocks the light beam. The single device can be installed outside the processing area of the machine tool, saving valuable processing space.
